2023 Election : Buhari Awarded me, but Atiku Disrespected me – Governor Wike
It is no secret that the 2023 general elections are fast approaching. As we all know, the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari, is not eligible to contest in the 2023 elections. This has left many Nigerians wondering who will be the next president of our great country.
One name that has been mentioned quite frequently is that of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. Recently, Governor Wike was awarded the “Best Performing Governor” by the All Progressives Congress (APC) lead government by President Buhari.
This is a clear indication that the APC believes that Governor Wike has what it takes to lead Nigeria. However, despite being awarded by the APC, Governor Wike is not representing any political party as the presidential flag barrier. Wike has said that he feels “disrespected” by his party. This is because Atiku has not taken him seriously as a potential political leader for the 2023 elections.
Governor Wike in an interview said, he is not alone in his belief. In fact, many Rivers State residents feel the same way. We believe that Atiku is only interested in using the presidency to further his own business interests, and not to improve the lives of Nigerians.
I urge all Rivers State residents to stand up against Atiku and his candidacy. We must show the rest of Nigeria that we will not stand for a candidate who does not have our best interests at heart.
