A Fan’s Guide to the Premier League’s Return After the World Cup

The Premier League is back! The world’s top flight of soccer is back after the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, and if you’re looking for a place to catch all the action, we’ve got your back. Here are five ways to follow all the action this season:

When does it start?

The Premier League season will officially kick off on Boxing Day, 26 December 2022. All 10 matches will be played over the course of two days and you can bet your bottom dollar (or pound) that it’s going to be a long one.

The first weekend in January is known as the Bank Holiday weekend and it often sees teams playing twice on a Saturday before taking advantage of the festive break. That means there are four days in total where you have little more than an hour between matches!

How do I watch it?

The Premier League is back! But how do you watch it? There are a few options to consider.

  • You could just turn on your TV and watch the games that are being played at the time, though there are some great apps out there that will give you access to all of them in one place. These include:
  • BT Sport Player (available for Apple TV, iOS devices and Android devices)
  • Sky Go (iOS only)
  • ESPN Player (available for Apple TV/iPad/iPhone/Android devices).

Who’s in it? Premier Leauge Tips & Predictions on Boxing Day

The Premier League is a competitive league, and it’s no surprise that some teams will be better than others. There are some clear favorites—Liverpool and Manchester City have been dominating for years, while Arsenal have emerged as an upstart force this season. Only Manchester United have defeated the gunners 3-1. Ever since, the gunners have been unstoppable. Arsenal have defeated Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea this season.

The other big story in terms of who’s most likely to win is who won’t lose: Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are both vying with each other for 3rd place on the table. They could conceivably finish in a better position at the end of the season.
