Dr Prof Uche Ikonne, Abia State PDP Governorship Candidate is Dead

The People’s Democratic Party Governorship Candidate for 2023 Election in Abia state is dead. Prof Ikonne’s death was announced by his son Dr Uche Ikonne on Wednesday.

According to his son, in a statement read, “I regret to announce the death of my father, Prof Eleazar Uchenna Ikonne, who died at the National hospital Abuja today January 25th 2023”

Prof Ikonne died as a result of cardiac arrest. Before Prof Ikonne’s death, he was sent to United Kingdom for a medical checkup.

After his medical checks were complete, Prof Ikonne returned back to Nigeria, source said he didn’t recover fully, and it lead to his death.
