Police investigate triple shooting in Johnston; suspect is apprehended

Police are investigating a triple shooting in Johnston Wednesday morning.

The suspect was later captured, according to Johnston Mayor Joe Polisena Jr.

“I was informed this morning of a triple shooting in Johnston,” Polisena Jr. wrote on social media Wednesday. “I can now confirm the suspect has been apprehended and the danger to the public is over.”

The Johnston Fire Department said the incident took place around 7:30 a.m. at 3 Ligian Court.

The Johnston Police Department has not released any details from the incident.

The Mayor’s office did not go into details and says it will release more information as it becomes available.
