Pitakwa News: Rivers State Flood Alert!!
As predicted by NiMET, twelve (19) local government areas of our dear state are likely to face the impact of heavy flooding this year. They include Abua/Odual, Ahoada-East, Ahoada-West, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Emohua, Oyigbo,Port Harcourt city, Opobo/Nkoro, Okrika, Asari Toru, Akuku-Toru and Degema. Others are Etche, Andoni, Khana, Ogu-Bolo, Gokana, Tai and Obio/Akpor.
By this alert, we advise our people to take urgent precautionary measures as being directed by NiMET and the various Local Government Area flood committees.

• Move away from flood prone areas
• Report unusual rising tides
• Move to safe camps on noticing flood
