Nurnberg vs Arsenal score, result, highlights as Havertz makes first Gunners appearance in stalemate
Kai Havertz makes his first Arsenal appearance as the Gunners’ draw against Nurnberg in Germany.
Although everyone was watching Havertz closely, it was no surprise that Bukayo Saka took the spotlight again as he scored with his curling effort early on in the match.
Folarin Balogun missed two good opportunities after he came on in the second half whereas Ethan Nwaneri made a very positive impact off the bench. 16-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly was also given some minutes late on in the fixture.
With Matt Turner on international, Karl Hein had an opportunity to impress Mikel Arteta. Unfortunately for the Estonian goalkeeper, his error led to the Nurnberg equaliser in the second period.
Nurnberg are now unbeaten in four preseason matches while Arsenal will face the MLS All-Stars on July 19 before friendlies with Man United and Barcelona in the United States.
