National Grid intact, TCN rejects Nationwide Strike

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) recently rejected a nationwide strike that would have disrupted the country’s power supply. Despite the threat of the strike, the National Grid remained intact and electricity was still being distributed to homes and businesses throughout the country.
The TCN’s decision to reject the strike was met with relief from many Nigerians who rely on a steady supply of power for their daily lives. The company emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in the power sector and ensuring that disruptions are minimized as much as possible.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria hereby states that the publication by Daily Post alleging that the Head of Public Affairs of TCN said that there will be a national blackout is false and totally misleading. pic.twitter.com/h97DGV15MN
Although the power sector in Nigeria still faces many challenges, the National Grid’s resilience during this potential crisis is a positive sign. The TCN and other stakeholders continue to work towards improving the power infrastructure in the country, with the goal of providing reliable and affordable electricity to all Nigerians.
