NNPP Pledged to Merge With PDP to Defeat The Ruling APC in 2027 Presidential Election

The New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) has recently expressed its support for former Presidential Candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar, following his announcement of a merger between various opposition parties. In a statement released by the NNPP Chairman Abba Ali, lauded Atiku’s efforts in uniting the opposition and providing a formidable challenge to the ruling party in the upcoming elections.
The Ali further emphasized the importance of a strong opposition in any democratic society, and pledged to work closely with Abubakar and other opposition leaders to ensure a fair and transparent election process. The statement also urged all Nigerians to exercise their right to vote and participate in shaping the future of their country.
At a press conference in Abuja, the Acting National Chairman of the party, Abba Ali, said the merger of opposition parties before the 2015 elections led to the defeat of the then-ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by the APC.
Ali further emphasized that the merger was a strategic move that helped bring together different political parties with the common goal of providing a better leadership for the country. He also pointed out that the APC’s victory in the 2015 elections was a testament to the Nigerian people’s desire for change and a shift away from the corruption and mismanagement of the PDP.
In addition, Ali highlighted the key achievements of the APC-led government, including the fight against corruption, improvements in the economy, and investments in education and infrastructure. He urged Nigerians to continue to support the party and its leaders in their efforts to move the country forward and create a brighter future for all citizens.
Finally, Ali thanked the media for their coverage of the press conference and reiterated the party’s commitment to transparency and accountability in all of its actions and policies. He encouraged the media to continue to hold the government accountable and to report on issues affecting the Nigerian people.
