The Federal High Court has adjourned the suit between Speaker Rt. Hon. Ehie Edison and Martins Amaewhule. The suit, which was initially scheduled for hearing, has been postponed on the 5th November 2023.

The court has assured both parties that the case will be given the utmost attention and a fair judgment will be delivered. Meanwhile, the Speaker and Martins Amaewhule have expressed their readiness to abide by the court’s decision and have urged their supporters to maintain peace and order during the proceedings. 

The case has generated a lot of interest and the public is eagerly awaiting the outcome of the trial.

A federal high court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State presided over by Justice Phoebe Ayua has adjourned until Tuesday, 5 December, on a matter brought before it by the new speaker Rivers State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ehie Edison seeking the court to restrain Hon. Martins Amaewhule former Speaker from presiding over the activities of the Rivers State House Of Assembly.

The case, which has gained significant attention in recent weeks, has been a cause of concern for many residents of Rivers State. 

The dispute over who should lead the House of Assembly has created a political rift in the state and has stalled legislative activities. The adjournment of the court proceedings until next week has left many eagerly anticipating the outcome of the case.
