AshantiandNellyare reportedly expecting their first child together after rekindling their romance earlier this year.
“Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together,” asource told US Weekly.
Rumors of her pregnancy swirled after the couple was seen over weekend at Nelly’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis. In avideoshared on social media, the duo hinted at a baby bump as Ashanti put her hand on her stomach, while the “Hot In Here” rapper followed suit, touching her midsection. The duo then burst into laughter, leaving fans confused about whether or not the gesture was a baby announcement. Now it seems very possibly thatNelly put his body on Ashantiand now she has his baby in her.
Ashanti and Nelly initially dated on and off from 2003 to 2013. After a decade break, Nelly confirmed the reconciliation in September on “Boss Moves with Rasheeda” saying, “Yeah, we cool again.”
He admitted neither of them expected to ever reunite, saying it “surprised both of us though.”
The lovebirds wentInstagram officialon Ashanti’s birthday in October when Nelly posted a slideshow of photos showing himself and Ashanti smiling. “One time for the birthday girl…. A month later, the Foolish” singer gave the St. Louis rapper a royal blue ’64’Chevy Impala for his birthday. In a thank you post for the gift, Nelly replied to a fan who commented “Get her pregnant @nelly TONIGHT!”
His response, “I’m on it.” Sounds like mission accomplished!
