Gov Fubara Keeps Mute, Says Meeting is Private

Governor Siminalayi Fubara has refused to disclose the meeting he had with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, according to Fubara, the meeting is a private meeting and it is not related to any political crisis.

Earlier PitakwaNews reported that Gov Fubara arrived the presidential Villa at exactly 5:35pm and worked straight to the office of the President.
The Governor came out of the Presidential Villa at exactly 6:30pm, however he declined to tell newsmen the outcome of the meeting.

After President Tinubu intervened, it emerged that Fubara signed an agreement without his red pen.
He stirred the anger of many when a document emerged from the Aso Rock Villa that he signed. It was considered a highly lopsided peace accord brokered between him and Wike by President Tinubu.
Reacting to the outcry, Fubara said he was committed to ensuring peace in the state and among its people to foster development.
On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, while speaking at the 3rd Convocation and 6th Founders Day ceremonies of the PAMO University of Medical Sciences in Iriebe Town, Obio-Akpor, Local Government Area, of the state, he said “There is no price that will be too big to pay to ensure that peace prevails.”
The governor assured that he is prepared and will continue to pay the necessary price that will guarantee peace.
