Dominic Solanke Wins Premier League Player of The Month For December

In shocking revelations, Bournemouth Dominic Solanke has been crowned the player of the month. The player becomes the first player for Bournemouth to win the award.

Dominic Solanke netted six goals in six games, that included a hat trick, the first for his professional career, in a 3-2 comeback, a win against Nottingham Forest.

Solanke also scored in victories over Manchester United and Fulham, as well as finding the net in a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa, as Cherries embarked on a five-match unbeaten run.

The one-time England international also played his part in victory at Crystal Palace, before the month ended in defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.

Voted for by a combination of supporters and a panel of experts, Solanke saw off competition from seven other nominees to win the premier league award.

They included his Cherries teammate Marcos Senesi, Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, Tottenham Hotspur talisman Son Heung-min and Chelsea ace Cole Palmer.

Matheus Cunha (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Mohammed Kudus (West Ham United) and Michael Olise (Crystal Palace) were also shortlisted.

Solanke is enjoying his best top-flight season in terms of goals, having notched 12 times in the opening half of the campaign.
