Fofana and Krosso Fire Ivory Coast to thrilling win against Guinea-Bissau

In a trailing encounter, AFCON host were 2 goals better than their opponents Guinea Bissau to get the campaign underway.

Seko Fofana opened scoring earlier in the first half to ensure that the host team go home with all three points. It wasn’t over yet, when Jean-Philippe Krosso made 2-0 in the second half, given the Ivory Coast a comfortable win against Guinea-Bissau.

Ivory Coast are now unbeaten in their last 13 opening AFCON matches, winning 7 of them. This their 100th AFCON game and they are the third team to reach that total, behind Egypt and Ghana.
