AFCON 2023: Resilient Namibia Beat Tunisia 1-0

2004 AFCON winners opened their campaign with a defeat against Namibia. Dean Daniel puts the Namibian team ahead at the very end. The goal came late at the 88th minute from a superb cross from Bethuel Muzeu that saw Dean Daniel headed the ball into the goal post.

Both teams couldn’t break the deadlock in the first half at the Korhoge Stadium. Tunisia got more of the ball but couldn’t convert any of it, given the Namibian team more opportunities to penetrate the half of the Tunisian side.

So far a total of 19 goals have been scored. 9 games have been played, with 4 draws and 5 wins.
