Silas Mvumpa off the mark as DR Congo Played 1-1 Draw With Morocco

In an exciting and intriguing AFCON 2023 game, Morocco were held to a draw by DR Congo. Earlier Morocco had taken the lead in first half, but DR Congo bounced back to draw level. Morocco and DR Congo are level on points, 4pts each.

Morocco opened scoring early in the game, thanks to Achraf Hakimi, who scored from a set piece. 

Morocco has only won the Nation’s Cup in 1976, beating Guinea to win their first ever AFCON.

Morocco won their first AFCON 2023 game against Tanzania 3-0

DR Congo was awarded a penalty, but Cedric Bakambu missed it. A perfect opportunity for DR Congo to level up the game.

After much thrilling 2nd half, DR Congo equalize through Silas Mvumpa.
