Cameroon Beat Gambia in a Five Goals Thriller

Cameroon have booked a place in the AFCON knockout stage, at a point Cameroon were out of the group when Gambia came from behind to take the lead.

The absence of Andre Onana in the Cameroon squad has generated a lot of reactions on social media. 

Onana was on the goalpost when Senegal defeated Cameroon 3-1, and Cameroon fans believed that Onana was responsible for most of the goals Cameroon conceded 

Cameroon opened scoring in the second half, thanks to Karl Toko Ekambi, who puts the Cameroon ahead.

Gambia scored their first goal at the AFCON 2023 against Cameroon, thanks to Ablie Jallow, who drew level on the 72 minutes.

Gambia took the lead, thanks to Ebrima Colley on the 85th minute, but the Cameroon team bounced back to level up the game.

Cameroon took the lead again from a set piece, thanks to Christopher Wooh who headed the ball passed the goalkeeper. Scoring his first AFCON goal. 

In Group C Senegal and Cameroon have qualified in the knockout stage of AFCON 2023. Guinea will have to wait if they would qualify as best losers in Group C.
