Angola Beat Namibia Becomes The First Team To Reach AFCON 2023 Quarterfinals

Angola got an early red card that almost shattered their hope, Neblu was sent off for using his hands to stop the ball outside the penalty box, but Angola had a different game plan after the red card. Gilberto, Agostinho Cristovao and Gelson Dala’s combination seemed a potential treat for the Namibian side.

Namibia continued to put more pressure on the Angola team, but failed to convert any chances to a goal in the first half.

Angola took advantage of the weak defense of the Namibian team, broke the deadlock in the first half, thanks to Gelson Dala

Gelson Dala doubled the lead for the Angola side, from a set piece. Dala has now scored 4 goals for his team in all competitions, and is now the highest goal scorer in AFCON 2023
