Tony Okocha Accuses Governor Fubara of Misuse of 144 Billion Naira
The caretaker committee chairman of the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) has accused the Governor of Rivers State of misusing the total sim of 144 billion naira, he received from June and November 2023.
The Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, has reacted to the claims of Tony Okocha, accusing the APC of playing politics.
It followed claims by the APC caretaker committee chairman in the State, Tony Okocha that Governor Siminalayi Fubara misappropriated state funds.
The party demanded accountability from Governor Fubara for the sum of over 144 billion naira received from the federation account between June and November 2023. But the Information Commissioner dismissed the claims saying that the Fubara administration has been prudent and accountable.
