Shops Close As Isiokpo People Mourns Herbert Wigwe

The people of Isiokpo have closed their shops, to mourn their brother and Son Herbert Wigwe over his death. The Isiokpo people marched in their numbers singing memorable songs. Mr Wigwe died at the age of 57. Wigwe is from Isiokpo.

Wigwe University is expected to kick off in September 2024. Wigwe University is located in Isiokpo.

Recall that Herbert Wigwe died in a plane crashed together with her Wife and Son.

Preliminary reports suggest that the chopper crash that killed the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holding Plc, Herbert Wigwe, his Wife, son, and three others was weather-related. 

They were heading to Boulder City, Nevada, from California in the United States, on Friday night for Las Vegas ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday, alongside the former Chairman of Nigeria Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbajo, when the helicopter crashed.

Speaking during a media briefing, a National Transportation Safety Board member, Michael Graham, said officials were on the scene to gather perishable evidence. He said it could take 12 to 24 months for the full report on the investigation to be ready. He also said names will be released through the coroner’s office.
