“The View” host accuses White House of ‘malpractice’ for not sending Joe Biden to Super Bowl

The View star Alyssa Farah Griffin wishes the White House gave audiences a little time to enjoy a view of President Joe Biden at Sunday’s Super Bowl.
The conservative panelist and former member of Donald Trump‘s communications team hit out at the current administration on Tuesday morning, complaining about the team not putting Biden in front of the Super Bowl’s massive audience during the weekend matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.
“The White House needs to get away from this narrative by putting Biden out there,” she said, responding to moderator Whoopi Goldberg‘s assessment of the critical narrative surrounding Biden’s competence related to his age. “It was malpractice that he wasn’t at the Super Bowl. It was the most-watched event since the moon landing.”
A visibly confused Joy Behar pushed back on Griffin’s statement, asking the 34-year-old cohost, “Malpractice? Why?”
“You could’ve reached 123 million eyeballs to show, I’m vital, I’m working for you,” Griffin replied. “I fear the reason they didn’t put him out is because it would reinforce the narrative that he’s not as sharp as he was.”
Behar again questioned Griffin’s stance, telling her colleague, “That’s conjecture on your part,” prompting Griffin to clap back. “It is conjecture, but I believe, why would they turned down an earned media opportunity like that?” she said. “That’s gold. That’s critical gold.”
Goldberg cut in to defend Biden and his team’s strategy heading into the November election, though the media narrative surrounding Biden’s age seemingly continues to weaken his standing in polls.
“They made a decision, because everybody bitches and moans, ‘he’s so old, he’s not on TikTok, he doesn’t know,’ so, now he’s on TikTok, and everybody’s still mad,” Goldberg said, later adding, “He went to [TikTok] instead of going where everybody wanted him to go. He’s trying to get this stuff done. I know we are in dire straits, but I don’t trust anybody more to get me out than this.”

Tuesday’s episode of The View fell after Griffin’s cohosts — particularly Behar and Sunny Hostin — have urged the “never Trump” crowd to unequivocally support Biden this fall. Last week, after Griffin — who regularly speaks out against her former boss — admitted that she was “worried Biden is going to lose to Trump,” Behar quickly responded by telling her, “not if people like you don’t vote for him.”
