Angbashim: Court Stops Police From Rearresting, Transferring Suspects
In a developing news, a State High Court in Port Harcourt has stopped the Nigerian Police from re-arresting and transferring defendants in the murder case of Divisional Police Officer SP Bako Angbashim to Abuja.
The presiding judge, Justice S. H. Aprioku, also restrained the transfer of the case file to the Federal High Court in Abuja. The matter was adjourned to March 15 for further hearing.
Recall that over fifty individuals are standing trial on various charges related to the killing of SP Bako Angbashim. Another five suspects are also standing trial on the same murder charge at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
