Demolition of Shopping Mall at GRA Junction Stirs Comments
The demolition of the shopping mall built during the Celestine Omehia administration in Rivers State is stirring comments. A development economist, Ugochukwu Agbarakwe, tells our correspondent that the State government will need to ensure that the next project to be sited there has economic value. But youth leader Livingstone Membere describes the demolition exercise as a huge economic loss to the State.
Recall that the shopping mall constructed during the six-month lifespan of former Governor Omehia was abandoned by the two successive governments of former governors Chibuike Amaechi and Nyesom Wike.
