Trial of 5 Pro Fubara Supporters Accused of Terrorism Begins in Abuja
In a recent development, the trial of five people accused of terrorism offences by the police resumed today at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The accused who are believed to be loyalists of Governor Siminalayi Fubara are Chime Ezebalike, Prince Oladele, Kenneth Kpasa, Osiga Donald, and Ochueja Thankgod. A hearing notice issued by the Court indicates that the trial would be conducted by Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon.
The Inspector General of Police had on January 25 slammed the terrorism charges on the accused for allegedly invading, vandalising, and burning down the Rivers State House of Assembly last year. In the charges against them, the police alleged that some of the accused killed a Superintendent of Police, (SP) Bako Agbashim and five police informants.
