Many Nigerians Stranded Following Internet Service Disruption
Telecommunications subscribers and bank customers across Nigeria were stranded for several hours yesterday following internet service disruptions.
Telecommunications service providers sent messages to customers saying it was caused by damage to some undersea cables. The disruption also affected several West African countries.
The cause of the damaged cables faults has not yet been determined as of press time but in a statement, one of the telecommunications companies in Nigeria said the repair process is ongoing to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
