Eid el-Fitr, Federal Government Extends Public Holidays

The Federal Government has indeed declared Thursday, April 11, 2024, as an additional public holiday to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr. This decision was made to extend the festivities, following the earlier declared two-day holiday for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The extension was announced after it was confirmed that the Eid celebration would take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, due to the non-sighting of the crescent in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. 

The Federal Government’s decision aims to provide more time for the Muslim Ummah to engage in spiritual rejuvenation and celebrate this important occasion.
