Jnr Pope: Actors Guild Bans Riverine Shoots, Suspends Filmmaker Adanma Luke
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has taken decisive action against filmmaker Adanma Luke and riverine shoots following the tragic death of actor Jnr Pope Odonwodo. Jnr Pope and four colleagues reportedly drowned while returning from a movie shoot titled “Another Side of Life,” produced by Adanma Luke, after their boat capsized at the waterside of River Niger Cable Point Asaba, Delta State.
In response to this incident, the AGN has:
1. Suspended Adanma Luke indefinitely.
2. Banned all films that involve riverine areas and boat riding indefinitely.
3. Prohibited actors from participating in any film produced by Adanma Luke until further notice.
These measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of cast and crew members during film productions in Nigeria.
