Rivers Crisis: Odili Pronounces Fubara Political Leader Of Rivers State

Former Governor Peter Odili has officially declared Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the new political leader of the state. Talk about a twist in the plot! Odili’s endorsement came after Fubara’s electoral victory, praising him for his steadfast defense of the people’s interests. And just like that, Fubara has been crowned the political king of Rivers State.

But wait, there’s more! This endorsement has caused quite a stir, especially with Nyesom Wike, the former governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, who had previously been quite chummy with Odili. Now, it seems like Odili has decided to switch allegiances and throw his weight behind Fubara.

He emphasised the strategic importance of Rivers State, warning that if the state sneezes, the entire nation catches cold. He urged Governor Fubara to act with this awareness in all its decision.

Assessing Fubara’s performance, Odili commended him for making significant strides in critical sectors within his first year in office, particularly focusing on the well-being of the people.

He noted that Fubara’s administration is in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s agenda, especially in the health sector, following the recent launch of the Primary Healthcare Fellows scheme by the Federal Government.

So, what does this mean for Rivers State? It’s too early to tell, but one thing is for sure: the political landscape just got a whole lot more interesting. Will Fubara be able to live up to the expectations of his new role? Only time will tell. But one thing is certain: Rivers State politics just got a whole lot spicier!
