APC Ward Suspends Ganduje Over Corruption Allegations

Ganduje Png

All Progressives Congress (APC) ward in Ganduje, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, has suspended the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, due to allegations of corruption. This decision was made public on April 15, 2024, by the ward’s legal adviser, Halliru Gwanzo, during a press conference in Kano. The suspension comes in the wake of allegations leveled against Ganduje by the Kano State Government, including accusations of bribery, diversion, and misappropriation of funds.

The suspension has sparked reactions and counter-reactions within the party, with the Kano State chapter of the APC also suspending the ward party leaders who had earlier suspended Ganduje. The state Working Committee has adopted the decisions of the Local Government party leaders and is currently investigating the culprits’ alleged anti-party activities.

It’s worth noting that this situation is still developing, and there are ongoing legal proceedings against Ganduje, including an arraignment scheduled for April 17, 2024, on charges related to the alleged bribery scandal. The outcome of these events could have significant implications for the APC and Nigerian politics as a whole.
