President Tinubu Declared April 7 National Police Day
President Bola Tinubu has officially declared April 7 as National Police Day, as announced during the inaugural award and commendations event organized by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Abuja. This initiative is aimed at honoring the bravery and dedication of Nigeria’s law enforcement personnel and fostering appreciation for their service to the nation. The declaration signifies the government’s acknowledgment of the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers and reflects a renewed emphasis on bolstering the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force. To support these efforts, the government has committed to investing in training and capacity-building, as well as upgrading equipment and technology to equip officers with the requisite knowledge, skills, and technology to effectively tackle contemporary policing challenges.
In his speech, President Tinubu declared with great conviction, “From this day forth, April 7 will be known as National Police Day.” The crowd erupted into applause.
