Tragic Loss: Gunmen Kill Babcock Prof, Abduct Two in Ogun
A devastating incident unfolded in the Iperu area of Ogun State, Nigeria, on the evening of Friday, April 19, 2024, when a group of armed gunmen, dressed in black attire, invaded the Ajadeh Event Centre on Sagamu Road, killing a law professor from Babcock University, Yinka Olomojobi, and abducting two other individuals.
The assailants, numbering eight, emerged from an unknown location and opened fire indiscriminately at the people relaxing in the lounge. In addition to the professor, a manager of a car stand, identified as Dare, and another person, yet to be identified, were abducted by the attackers. The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating that a security guard who had been recently employed at the event center was arrested in connection with the attack.
