‪Rivers Caretaker Committee Stands in Compliance With Court Order ‬Says PDP

Protesters Storm PDP Office In Abuja To Show Solidarity For PDP Acting Chairman Umar Damagun And The Minister Of The FCT Minister Nyesom Wike

The Rivers State Caretaker Committee List, as published by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stands in compliance with an Ex-Parte Order issued by the Federal High Court, Abuja. This order restrains the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) from taking further action with respect to the status of the Rivers State Caretaker Committee List.

In light of the court order, the NWC acknowledges the ongoing efforts of various organs of the PDP, particularly the PDP Governors’ Forum, to find a political solution to the issue of the Rivers State Caretaker Committee. As a result, the NWC has resolved to support and participate in the concerted efforts towards resolving the matter amicably.

It’s important to note that while the Rivers State Caretaker Committee List as published remains in effect, the PDP is committed to respecting the legal process and the directives of the court. The NWC’s decision to support a political solution reflects the party’s commitment to finding a peaceful resolution that respects the rights and interests of all parties involved.

This situation highlights the complex interplay between legal and political processes within the PDP. As the party navigates this issue, it remains dedicated to upholding the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
