Prince Harry, Meghan Markle arrive Nigeria For Their 72 Hour Tour

Prince Harry And Maghan Markle Png 1

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have arrived in Nigeria for their 72-hour tour, marking their first visit to the country. Their visit is part of a series of engagements to champion the Invictus Games, a sporting event founded by Prince Harry for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans. The couple landed in Nigeria on Friday morning, after a brief delay due to a sick pilot, and were welcomed warmly by the Nigerian military, which had extended the invitation for their visit.

Their itinerary includes a visit to a local school in Abuja, where they were seen interacting with students and staff, a meeting with Nigerian service members and their families, and a visit to a military hospital to meet with wounded soldiers. They will also attend a training session for the organization Nigeria: Unconquered and a cultural reception hosted by the Chief of Defence Staff in honor of military families.

This visit holds a special significance as it’s the first time Prince Harry and Meghan are visiting Nigeria together. Their connection to the country has been highlighted by their participation in the Invictus Games and Meghan’s recent discovery of her Nigerian heritage. The trip also serves as a platform for the couple to learn about Nigeria’s diverse and celebrated culture, while supporting its veteran community.
