Asake Announces “Lungu Boy World Tour”
Nigerian singer-songwriter Asake has recently announced his “Lungu Boy World Tour,” which is set to begin on June 26, 2024. The tour announcement comes as part of the rollout for his upcoming third studio album, also titled “Lungu Boy.”
The tour will include stops at major venues in North America and Europe, including State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Madison Square Garden in New York, and venues in Cologne, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Paris. The tour is scheduled to start in Portimao, Portugal, at AfroNation on June 26, followed by a performance at Wireless Festival in London on July 13. The North American leg of the tour will begin on August 16 in Washington D.C. at the Capital One Arena and conclude on August 30 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Tickets for the North American leg of the tour will be available starting on Wednesday, June 12, at 10 am local time through an artist presale. Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week leading up to the general sale, which begins on Friday, June 14, at 10 am local time on asaketour.com.
Asake has been gaining global recognition in the afrobeats genre, with his debut album “Mr. Money With The Vibe” making Apple Music history as the biggest debut of an African album on the platform. His music has been well-received, with his shows often selling out and receiving positive reviews from fans.
