Plan Carrying Malawi’s Vice President, Saulos Chilima Found, No Survivors
The plane carrying Malawi’s Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others was found with no survivors, according to a statement from President Lazarus Chakwera. The aircraft had been missing since Monday morning after it failed to land in the northern city of Mzuzu due to bad weather and was told to return to the capital, Lilongwe. The wreckage was located in a mountainous area in the north of the country after a search that lasted more than a day. President Chakwera expressed his condolences, describing the incident as a terrible tragedy.
