Osimhen Slams Coach Over Commitment Doubts

Victor Osimhen, the Napoli and Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, has responded to comments made by former Super Eagles coach, Finidi George, regarding his commitment to the national team. According to reports, Finidi George expressed his disappointment in the commitment levels of top Nigerian players, using Osimhen as an example. The coach claimed that despite being sidelined with an injury, Osimhen could have played in the crucial World Cup qualifiers. He further alleged that Osimhen seems to choose which games he plays for Nigeria and that he cannot beg players to represent their country.

Osimhen emphasized that he is always committed to playing for both his national and club sides, an action he has always displayed on the pitch. He found it heartbreaking that such speculation questioning his loyalty to the squad would even be raised.
