Everton Confirm Ashley Young Signs Contract Extension

Everton Football Club has officially announced that Ashley Young has signed a one-year contract extension, securing his services at the club until the end of June 2025. The 38-year-old veteran, who joined the Toffees last summer, has been a crucial figure in the team, making 34 appearances and scoring one goal during the 2023/24 season.

Young expressed his delight at extending his stay at Goodison Park, stating, “It was a no-brainer for me to sign again. The size of the club, the staff, the players, and, of course, the fans, who have been excellent… I loved my time here last season. We had ups and downs, but I can see how big the club is and where the club wants to get to.”

Everton manager Sean Dyche, who previously captained Young at Watford, praised the player’s qualities both on and off the pitch, saying, “His qualities – both on and off the pitch – meant he was an important figure for us.”

The contract extension comes as a welcome boost for Everton, who have also been in talks to sign Marseille forward Iliman Ndiaye. The Senegal international is expected to join the Toffees soon, further strengthening the team’s attacking options.

With Young’s contract extension and the potential arrival of Ndiaye, Everton fans can look forward to an exciting and competitive squad for the upcoming season.
