Minister Wike Leads Delegates From FCT to The Residence of Bukola Saraki
On July 5, 2024, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, along with his delegation, paid a condolence visit to Dr. Bukola Saraki, the former President of the Senate, at his Abuja residence. The visit was in honor of the passing of Saraki’s mother, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki.

The late Florence Morenike Saraki, who passed away on June 18, 2024, at the age of 89, was a respected figure in her community. Buhari described Florence as a hardworking community leader whose kindness and thoughtfulness towards others is an inspiration and would be remembered.

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the state branch of the Peoples Democratic Party also sent their condolences to the Saraki family. The Emir described the deceased as a wonderful mother, a great philanthropist, and a virtuous wife of Dr. Olusola Saraki, the late Waziri of Ilorin, whose contributions to humanity will forever be remembered.
