President Tinubu Not Aware That Nigerians Are Hungry Says Ali Ndume

In a shocking revelation, Senator Ali Ndume, the Chief Whip of the Senate, has claimed that President Bola Tinubu is unaware of the food crisis and insecurity plaguing Nigeria. Ndume, who represents Borno South Senatorial District, alleged that the President has been “caged” in the Presidential Villa by forces preventing him from seeing the harsh realities faced by Nigerians.

During an interview with the BBC Hausa, Ndume expressed his concern over the astronomical increase in food prices and the looming food crisis in the country. He lamented that children are already suffering from malnutrition due to food scarcity, drawing parallels to similar situations in Niger Republic and South Sudan.

Ndume also accused President Tinubu of shutting his door to some of his ministers, which has led to the President being kept in the dark about critical issues affecting the nation. He stated, “The major problem with this government is that its doors are closed, to the extent that even some ministers cannot see the President, not to mention members of the National Assembly.”

The Senate Chief Whip further criticized the government’s inaction on the food crisis, warning that Nigerians are becoming increasingly angry and frustrated. He urged President Tinubu to wake up and address the issue urgently, as the situation could lead to severe consequences if left unchecked.

The Senate recently passed a resolution calling on the federal government to address the food insecurity and market exploitation of consumables in Nigeria. Ndume co-sponsored the motion, emphasizing the need for the government to take immediate action to alleviate the suffering of the people.

As the nation grapples with the food crisis and insecurity, it remains to be seen whether President Tinubu will heed the calls of his fellow APC member and take decisive steps to address the pressing issues facing the country.
