Osimhen Transfer Saga: PSG Reluctant to Meet Napoli’s Demands

Victor Osimhen To Undergo Medical At PSG

The transfer saga surrounding Napoli’s star striker Victor Osimhen continues to captivate the football world, with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) currently leading the race to secure his signature. However, negotiations between the two clubs have hit a roadblock as PSG is reluctant to meet Napoli’s demands.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a renowned transfer specialist, talks between PSG and Napoli have stalled after the French club rejected Napoli’s request to include South Korean midfielder Kang-in Lee as part of the deal. Romano also reported that PSG is not willing to pay Osimhen’s €130 million release clause and is only prepared to offer €80 million for the Nigerian striker.

Napoli, on the other hand, is open to selling Osimhen for a fee in the range of €105 million to €110 million, but they are firm on not going below this minimum price. The Italian club is keen to sell Osimhen due to his massive wages and their desire to spend big this summer.

Osimhen himself is said to be enthusiastic about a move to PSG, having given his approval for the transfer to proceed. However, the deal is currently on standby and could fall through if PSG and Napoli fail to reach an agreement.

PSG’s reluctance to meet Napoli’s demands has also put Chelsea and Arsenal, who were previously interested in signing Osimhen, on the back foot. Both London clubs have shown no willingness to meet Napoli’s demands at this stage.

The transfer window is closing in, and the clock is ticking for Osimhen’s potential move to PSG. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether the two clubs can find a middle ground and finalize the deal.
