In a recent development, the Rivers State Government has given a 14-day ultimatum to Samuel Nwanosike, the former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, to pay a hefty contravention fee of N545 million. The fee is in relation to a property owned by Nwanosike that was sealed by the Rivers State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development for violating the approved building plan.

According to reports, Nwanosike’s hotel, located in the GRA axis of Port Harcourt, was sealed off due to an alleged violation of the approved building plan. However, Nwanosike was seen in a viral video arguing with ministry officials, claiming that he had defaulted and was willing to pay the penalties.
