Lagos Police Deactivate Explosive Device in Ikeja Area
On July 31, 2024, the Lagos State Police Command’s anti-bomb squad successfully deactivated an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Ikeja area of the state. The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to PUNCH Online.
According to the report, the device was wrapped in a bag and dropped by the roadside from an unregistered vehicle along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way. The police responded promptly to the situation, ensuring the safety of the public and preventing any potential harm.
