Oko Jumbo Led Assembly Members Screens and Confirms 5 Commissioners Nominees
The Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Victor Oko Jumbo, has recently confirmed five commissioner nominees sent by Governor Sim Fubara. The confirmation took place at the Government House in Port Harcourt, following a rigorous screening process.
The nominees, who were loyal to Governor Fubara, were subjected to questioning by assembly members. They pledged their allegiance to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Rivers State Governor, and the State itself.
This confirmation comes on the heels of the assembly’s earlier confirmation of eight commissioner nominees, filling vacancies left by the resignation of nine commissioners loyal to the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike.
