“Famously not demure, famously not mindful,” the model wrote in the caption of her TikTok calling out the body shamer

Emily Ratajkowski is not here for body shamers.

On Tuesday, Aug. 19, the 33-year-old model and author shared a TikTok video in which she’s walking around New York City when a stranger off-camera is heard saying, “Girl, put on a shirt.”

In the clip, Ratajkowski wears a low-cut gray tank top and black yoga pants. She accessorized with a black shoulder bag, gold choker necklace, silver hoop earrings by Jordan Road and brown-framed blue light glasses by QUAY x Guizio. She also appears to be wearing little to no makeup.

“wait for it: man tells me to put on a shirt,” the Inamorata swimwear founder wrote over the video in white text.

She captioned the post, “famously not demure, famously not mindful,” referencing the recent viral social media trend started by TikTok creator Jools Lebron.

The star also included the song “365” from Charli XCX’s latest albumBrat, which sparked the“Brat summer”trend of recent months.

Ratajkowski’s followers were quick to comment their support.

“Imagine saying that to Emily Ratajkowski,” one user wrote.

“He wants to be you soooo bad,” said another.

A third wrote, “We should band together and all by and wear the same top.”

The model’s provocative style has long sparked criticism and her experience being objectified by the media inspired a 2021 book of essays titled My Body, in which the star reclaimed her own narrative.

In December 2017, Piers Morgan criticized Ratajkowski for posting photos from a lingerie photoshoot she did with Love Magazine. “This is Emily Ratajkowski ‘promoting feminism’. Somewhere, Emmeline Pankhurst just vomited,” the English broadcaster wrote on X.

Ratajkowski replied saying, “Lol never said my love video was a feminist statement. But now it’s worth saying that telling women what to do with their bodies & sexuality is actually just classic sexism. I can have opinions about feminism & also do sexy photo shoots k thanks.”

A few days later, Morgan called Ratajkowski a “global bimbo” on a live episode of Good Morning Britain.

In January 2024, the model shared an Instagram photo carousel of herself wearing a low-cut black. halter dress. “decided i’m never beating the bimbo allegations so why not lean in, you know?” she captioned the post.
