Guy Fieri was mistaken for bartender and told to get back to work while hanging at Sylvester Stallone’s house

Someone was unaware of his status as the “Mayor of Flavortown.”

Food Network starGuy Fierifit right into the catering staff atSylvester Stallone‘s house.

Fieri was mistaken for a staffer when he was invited to theRockystar’s home as a guest in 2020, the chef, author, and TV host said onIn Depth with Graham Bensingerthis week. The spiky-haired star, who’s known for his unfussy food and wardrobe choices, was wearing a denim jacket in the residence’s cigar room.

“I’m looking around and this lady comes in and goes, ‘Lose the jacket, get going,'” Fieri said in the video below at about the one-minute mark. “She thought I was there to work. She thought I was a bartender.”

The woman, whom he didn’t name, was embarrassed when she later figured out that the bartender outfitted in a denim jacket was, in fact, the “Mayor of Flavortown,” with an empire of TV shows, includingDiners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and cookbooks.

“We had a great laugh,” Fieri said.

While he wasn’t slinging drinks, Fieri was actually cooking that day. After Stallone invited him to join a personal event where he was planning to serve sandwiches he ordered, Fieri said he wanted to make the food.

Fieri had another memorable moment at the actor’s enclave when Stalloneintroduced himto actorAl Pacino. (He also had the chance to meet Sugar Ray Leonard and catch up with mutual acquaintanceArnold Schwarzenegger.)

“And I’m not a starstruck person, except for…,” Fieri said of Pacino. “There’s a different level. I mean, like, he’s history-making. I mean, like, he’s nobility. He’s just a different level, you know.”
