TRAGEDY STRIKES MADISON, WISCONSIN: 3 DEAD, INCLUDING 15-YEAR-OLD SHOOTER, IN SCHOOL SHOOTING
A devastating school shooting occurred at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, on December 16, 2024, leaving three people dead, including the 15-year-old shooter, and six others injured.
According to Authorities
The Madison Police Department received a 911 call from a second-grader inside the school at 10:57 a.m. local time. Responding officers arrived at the scene within minutes and immediately secured the area.
“The situation is under control, and the school is secure,” said Madison Police Chief, Shon Barnes. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the entire school community.”
Victim Identification
The three fatalities have been identified as:
- Natalie Lynn Rupnow, the 15-year-old shooter, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
- A 14-year-old male student, whose name has not been released.
- A 38-year-old female teacher, whose name has not been released.
Six Others Injured
Six other individuals were injured in the shooting, with two critically wounded. They have been transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Investigation Underway
The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) was at the scene, and the 9mm caliber handgun used in the shooting was recovered.
“We will do everything in our power to support the families and the school community during this difficult time,” said Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers. “We will also work tirelessly to ensure that our schools remain safe and secure for all students and staff.”

Flags at Half-Mast
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers ordered the United States and Wisconsin flags to be flown at half-mast in honor of the victims.
President Joe Biden also released a statement condemning the incident, calling for immediate action to address gun violence.
“As a nation, we must come together to address the scourge of gun violence that has taken too many lives,” said President Biden. “We owe it to the victims and their families to take action to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.”
