GOVERNOR FUBARA PREACHES LOVE AND UNITY ON CHRISTMAS DAY
As Christians around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has joined in the festive spirit, preaching a message of love and unity to the people of the state.
In his Christmas message, Governor Fubara encouraged citizens to imbibe the good virtues of Jesus Christ, which are outlined in his teachings of selflessness, genuine love, and true forgiveness. He emphasized the importance of living in harmony with one another, regardless of their differences.
“As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I urge you all to reflect on the values that he taught us,” Governor Fubara said. “Let us strive to live in love, peace, and harmony with one another, just as Jesus taught us.”
Governor Fubara also assured the people of Rivers State that the new year, 2024, will witness improved development, with the planned completion of some strategic infrastructure projects. He promised that his administration will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the state remains a haven of peace and prosperity.
In addition to his message, Governor Fubara approved a N100,000 Christmas bonus for civil servants in the state. This gesture is aimed at showing appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the state’s workforce.
Lady Fubara, the governor’s wife, also joined in the festive spirit, advising parents to promote love in their homes and emulate the life of Christ. She emphasized the importance of family values and the need for parents to instill good morals in their children.
“As we celebrate Christmas, let us not forget the true meaning of the season,” Lady Fubara said. “Let us show love, kindness, and compassion to one another, and let us strive to be good examples to our children.”
