President Tinubu Departs Abuja for UAE, to Attend Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025). The summit, scheduled to take place from January 12 to 18, is a global platform that brings together world leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to accelerate sustainable development and socioeconomic progress.

The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is an annual event hosted by the UAE to address the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges. This year’s summit, themed “The Nexus of Next; Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” will explore pathways to fast-track the transformation to a sustainable economy and evolve a new era of prosperity for all.
President Tinubu’s Participation
During the event, President Tinubu will highlight his administration’s reforms, including those related to energy sufficiency, transportation, public health, and economic development. He will also meet with the UAE’s leadership to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.

Presidential Delegation
The President will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and other senior government officials. Return to Nigeria
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16. During his absence, the Vice President will act as the Acting President.
