NYSC Corps Members to Receive N77,000 Monthly Allowance Starting March 2025

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a significant increase in the monthly allowance for corps members. Starting March 2025, corps members will receive a monthly stipend of N77,000, up from the previous amount of N33,000.
Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Director-General of the NYSC, made the announcement during his visit to the NYSC zonal offices in Wuse and Garki, Abuja on Thursday. General Nafiu assured corps members that the NYSC is committed to their welfare and will ensure that their payments are made consistently.
The increase in allowance is reportedly aligned with the recent adjustment of the national minimum wage, which was raised to N70,000 by President Bola Tinubu in July 2024. This move aims to improve the living standards of corps members and reflect the current economic realities.
The increased allowance is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of corps members, enabling them to better cater to their needs during their service year. This development is a welcome relief for many corps members who have been advocating for a review of their allowance.
The NYSC has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of corps members. This latest development is a testament to the organization’s efforts to improve the living standards of its members and ensure that they have a positive and rewarding service experience.
The announcement of the increased monthly allowance for NYSC corps members is a significant development that will have a positive impact on their lives. As the NYSC continues to prioritize the welfare of its members, corps members can look forward to a more comfortable and rewarding service experience.
