Abdul Aziz Issah Strike Gives Resilient Dream FC Victory Against Rivers United

As the CAF Confederation’s Cup group stage enters matchday two. The Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi Ghana hosted Rivers United.

Rivers United had good opportunities, but failed to convert those opportunities. 

Technical Manager Stanley Eguma decided to stick to the same starting eleven that defeated Académica Petroleos Club Do Lobito in Uyo on Sunday.

The Dream FC opened scoring on the 31st minutes. Capitalizing on the poor defense of Rivers United. 

Dream FC lost their first game, 2-0 against Club Africain of Tunisia. Their win against the Nigerian side, Rivers United is a good bounce back for the home club.

Abdul Aziz Issah made it 2-0 on the 74th minutes. It was too late for Rivers United after they managed to snatch a goal at 90+3 minutes, from Alex Oyowah.

Rivers United continued with a good momentum, and strived for an equalizer, but Dream FC were resolute at the back line, defended a well deserved victory.

Club Africain will host Rivers United on the 20th of December, while Dreams FC faces Académica Petroleos.
