Breaking News: Supreme court has reversed the sack of Abba Yusuf as Kano Governor, Affirms His Election

In a Swift ruling, the Supreme Court has reverses the ruling that sack the Governor of Kano State and affirms that Abba Yusuf is the Governor of Kano State.

Justice John Okoro, who read the judgment said the Court of Appeal was wrong in its ruling and affirming the decision of the tribunal, which held that Abba Yusuf did not win the majority of lawful votes cast at the Kano Governorship Election.

Recall that Abba Yusuf is the Governorship Candidate of New Nigerian People’s Party. In determining the case, the apex court’s raised two issues; weather the lower court was right in deducting the 165,616 votes of the Governor.
